My body, my choice !

Body Shaming is a phenomenon that aims to insult and humiliate the bodies of women and men. Although both sexes are subject to this phenomenon, women remain the main targets. We live in a society ruled by a dictatorship of beauty. This beauty is retouched by software such as Photoshop. Its ideal bodies are found everywhere (in advertising, on social networks, or in magazines). I will designate them by the term "unreal entities". The features considered unaesthetic such as cellulite, stretch marks, acne pimples and even moles are erased. Many celebrities are victims of body shaming. Especially models or actresses because they are extremely visible on social networks. Not so long ago, the world-famous model Gigi Hadid suffered the consequences. Her moles were erased for an advertising campaign. But unfortunately all women are victims of this phenomenon, not just celebrities. As a woman, we receive sexist and discriminatory remarks on a daily basis. It starts at school, where we are constantly being asked to think about our bodies. I remember my high school years when we rated girls' bodies on a scale of one to 20 from the most "good" to the least "good". These actions are extremely violent and many young girls end up anchoring them in themselves. But we must raise awareness and denounce this phenomenon and make people understand that every body has peculiarities and that cellulite and stretch marks are completely normal things. They are not defects. They are part of the human body. Imagine the impact that body shaming can have on teenage girls. They're sexualized and idealized all the time. How can we build ourselves up healthy if the image we give of women is impossible for any human being to achieve? We must learn to accept ourselves as we are. There are days when we love each other and days when we don't feel good in our bodies. It's a fact, but that shouldn't prevent us from fulfillment.

My body, my choice !
